The Rosebud Veneer shop floor, with benches, presses and racked material running the length of the building

What it is

Reconstituted veneer is engineered rather than harvested. Fast-growing, plentiful timber is sliced, dyed straight through, laminated back into a block and re-sliced — so the grain and color are designed rather than inherited. It answers a problem real wood cannot: sheet after sheet that matches, on a job too large for one log.

The shop floor, where reconstituted stock is pressed to panel like anything else.

That repeatability is the whole point. A natural flitch runs out. Reconstituted stock does not vary between orders, carries no mineral streak or knots, and can be specified again next year and still match. On large commercial elevations — hotel corridors, elevator lobbies, anything measured in hundreds of sheets — that is worth more than the character you give up.

We carry reconstituted ebony, zebrawood, rosewood, white oak and walnut, and can source other patterns. All of it is available as raw sheets, two-ply, paper-backed, or pressed to architectural panels on MDF, particleboard or hardwood core. Tell us the sheet size, core and quantity and we will quote it with lead time.
