Curly Anigre Veneer
Pale golden African anigre carrying a fine, even curl — light, contemporary, and widely specified for hospitality interiors.

Light tan, sometimes creamy, occasionally light pink. Grain texture smooth, with occasional light silica inclusions. Figure ranges from unfigured to highly figured, often with a pronounced fiddleback.
Anigre — the Pouteria species long cataloged as Aningeria — is a pale golden East African hardwood, and the curly grade carries a fine, even ripple running across the grain. It is the light figured veneer specified when walnut would be too heavy and maple too cold, which is why so much hospitality work lands on it.
Two things to know before signing it off. The first is color: anigre runs from cream to a warm gold and can carry a faint greenish cast in some logs, and it ambers noticeably under light over the first year. The second is that the curl is fine — this is a quiet, even shimmer, not the dramatic fiddleback of a curly maple.
Because the color range within the species is wide, matching across a large job is a sequencing problem rather than a supply problem. Order the whole quantity together and we will hold it in sequence from one flitch. Available raw, two-ply, paper-backed, and pressed to panel.
