Custom work
Custom veneer sheets and panels, made to your drawing
Sheets and panels pressed to order in any species we carry — sequence-matched out of a single flitch, CNC routed to your drawing, calibrated to an exact ¾ inch. The material is chosen for your job before it is pressed, not sorted out of stock afterwards.
Rosebud Veneer has specialized in custom layup since 1998. This is a shop rather than a warehouse: a person reads the drawing, not a form, and Todd White answers calls, texts and email during business hours.

Scope
What we make to order
- Custom veneer sheets
- Raw veneer, two-ply or paper-backed, supplied in sequence out of one flitch rather than pulled from stock at random. We typically ship 4×8 and 4×10; end-matched sheets can be made beyond those dimensions.
- Custom veneer panels
- Your face veneer pressed to MDF, particleboard or hardwood core — all three standard and always available. Sheet sizes 4×8, 4×10 and 4×12, with 5×8, 5×10 and 5×12 on request. Panels are calibrated to an exact ¾ inch, so nothing has to be adjusted in the field.
- Cut to your blueprint
- Send the drawing and we CNC route the panels to it in our own shop. Parts arrive sized, so the work that would have happened on your saw has already happened on ours.
- Sequence matching
- For any elevation that has to read continuously, panels are numbered and supplied in order from a single flitch. This has to be specified early — it has to be cut that way, and coming back for more later means a different log.
- Curved and radius work
- Two-ply — wood on wood — where a flat panel will not conform to a specified radius. Send the drawing with the radius on it and we will tell you honestly what the material will do.
- Any species we carry
- Every species in the catalog is available raw, as two-ply, paper-backed, and pressed to architectural panels. If it is on the list, it can be made up any of those ways.
Samples are available for any species — veneer is a natural material, and a photograph is not a reliable way to judge one before committing. If you already have drawings, the blueprint estimator covers what we need in order to price them.
Why custom
Made for the job, not for the shelf
Most veneer is sold as a commodity: a species, a sheet size, whatever the warehouse has that week. That works until the job has a drawing attached to it — a run that has to match across twelve panels, a radius a flat sheet will not take, a species the specifier chose for a reason. That is the work this shop was built for.
We hold thousands of flitches and hand-grade every one for color, figure and yield, so the material is chosen before it is pressed rather than sorted afterwards. Tell us the species, cut, core, sheet size and quantity and we will come back with pricing and lead time — a detailed cut list and quote typically follows within 48 hours.
Species
What people specify most
Any species in the catalog can be made up custom. These are the ones that come up most often on architectural work:
- Rift White Oak Veneer
- White Oak Veneer
- Walnut Veneer
- Quartered Walnut Veneer
- Fumed Rift White Oak Veneer
Supplied as raw veneer, two-ply, paper-backed, or pressed to architectural plywood. If you are still working out the specification, the specifications reference covers slicing, matching and grading.

Most specifications start as a conversation. Call, text or email — Todd White answers during business hours, and you will get an honest opinion on construction techniques whether or not the job ends up here.
Sending a drawing? Email the PDF or the full set straight to rosebudveneer@gmail.com — attachments do not go through the form below, and a drawing in Todd's inbox is the fastest route to a cut list.
